Vancouver is Canada’s third-largest city. It is a coastal port and is located in the province of British Columbia.

With its panoramic views, mild climate, and welcoming people, Vancouver is known around the world as one of the best places to live. It is frequently ranked as one of the top five cities in the world for quality of life and livability, and The Economist has recognized it as the first ranked in the top ten cities in the world for ten consecutive years.

The city has great ethnic and linguistic diversity, with 52% of the population speaking a language other than English.

Over time, it has played host to numerous international congresses and events, including the 2010 Winter Olympics and 2010 Winter Paralympics, organized together with Whistler.

When going to Vancouver, there are some must-have experiences, such as: watching a hockey game by the local team, the Vancouver Canucks; exploring the immense green area of Stanley Park; tasting the Japadog hot dogs; skiing in nearby Whistler; and seeing what real tree climbing is on the Capilano bridges.

Another mandatory point is to have a hearty breakfast to explore the city. In fact, many of these coffee places are the experience itself. That’s why we’ve selected our top breakfast places in Vancouver, Canada.

Breakfast places in Vancouver, Canada

Vancouver and nearby cities have great cafes, whether to grab a cup to drink on the way or to sit and spend time talking, working, reading a book.

Of the options we chose, most are small, local, and have great spaces for you to enjoy a cup of coffee and a nice meal. Check out.

Agro Roasters

Agro Roasters is a small cafe near the Port of Vancouver.

It’s a simple place, but very welcoming. Locals say it’s the best-brewed coffee in town. And the good news is that they sell the beans to strain at home.

The people there specialize in coffee, always organic, fair to farmers. They roast the coffee right there, so the coffee served is always fresh, roasted a few days before.

They also serve some delicious food – try the vegan coconut lemon cake.

Nemesis Coffee Gastown

Probably the hippest cafe in Vancouver, Nemesis is also the place to take a picture of it all.

The house beers are great and they always have coffees from places not so usual, like Burundi and Rwanda. It’s the perfect place to try different beans.

The house all-day brunch is excellent – try the croissant! This delicious, crispy, buttery pastry is definitely among the best things to eat with a good cup of coffee.

49th Parallel Café & Lucky’s Doughnuts

Most people go to 49th Parallel for Lucky’s Donuts. Pair a great donut with a brew of coffee or hot chocolate – one of the top-quality drinks in Vancouver.

Opening hours are great too, one of the few cafes in Vancouver that is open late – from 7 am to 7 pm every day.

The place is always full and often there is not even a place to sit. So go with time and carefree, with no pending work to deliver. Just having time to enjoy a nice meal.

Weirdo Cafe

The Weirdo Cafe is a must on your trip to Vancouver.

The place has one of the most diverse cuisines in the region. They are not just a cafe that serves sweets and drinks. Instead, they also serve a wide variety of appetizers, salads, rice, risotto, pasta, sandwiches, and brunch. And all this for an affordable price.

Medina Coffee

Medina Coffee is one of Vancouver’s best brunch spots. There, you can sample the best Belgian waffles in town, as well as a variety of delicious cocktails.

The place is very spacious and bright and uses high-quality ingredients that convey the café’s philosophy – that food feeds the soul as much as the body.

Fable kitchen

The Fable Kitchen is where food goes from farm to table – a reference to the restaurant’s name.

This place relies on local ingredients, rustic European decor, and Vancouver-based art to bring their culinary vision of creating healthy and delicious classic dishes to life.

It’s elegant and unpretentious, the brunch menu brings fresh, organic flavor to traditional food. The beverage list includes both alcoholic beverages and a refreshing breakfast smoothie.

Bonus tip

We also have a vegan option! Plant Me is a restaurant that offers plant-based food. They offer not only great coffee but a full breakfast and lunch menu.
